This is not a dating event.
What the evening is
You arrive alone. Everyone does — that is the whole premise, not a hazard of it. A host meets you at the door so you never walk in and scan the room for a face you know. The menu is fixed and agreed with the restaurant beforehand, so nobody spends the evening doing arithmetic. There are printed cards on the table with questions on them. Some of them are good.
The shape of it

- 19:15The first card gets turned over.
- 19:40Starters. The table has usually split into two conversations by now.
- 20:20Mains, and people move seats.
- 21:15Dessert, and the last card.
- 21:40You settle your part of the bill. It is the number on this page.
- 22:00Some people go home. Some go on somewhere. Nobody is organising that.
How to join

Before you ask
It'll be awkward and I'll want to leave.
There is a host at the table all evening whose job is the room, and printed cards with questions when a conversation stalls. The evening has a shape: cards, courses, a seat change. You are never left to invent it.
Am I going to get an unexpected bill?
No. €24 for three courses, agreed with the kitchen before the night. Drinks are separate and you order those yourself. You pay at the venue.
Is this secretly a dating thing?
It is not a dating event. Tables are mixed by age and by why people came, and nobody is paired with anybody.
Will I be the only one there on my own?
Everyone comes alone. That is the entire premise. There are no pairs and no groups.
