About us
Brightly is a small team in Riga that makes it easy to meet people in real life.
We match people into small tables and book them into restaurants and cafés around the city. Right now that is Dinner with Strangers in the evening and Coffee Break in the daytime. BBQ nights, listening bar sessions, tastings and masterclasses are next. All of it is built on one idea: get people in a room and get them talking.

Book your seat
Pick a date, come alone, and tell us a little about yourself.

We build the table
Six people, seated by age, language, interests and energy, then mixed up on purpose.

You get the address
Two days before, by email. The venue and the time. Not the guest list.

Dinner in the evening, coffee in the daytime. No host, no name badges, no icebreaker games.
Who it is for
Anyone 18 or over who wants to meet new people in Riga.
Locals, people who just moved here, Erasmus students, people who work from home. Tables are mixed on purpose, so you will not sit with five copies of yourself.
Why we started
Our phones got very good at showing us people, and very bad at introducing us to them.
Across the EU, about one in eight people say they feel lonely most or all of the time.
Questions people ask us
Do I need to know anyone to come?
No. Nobody knows anyone. That is the format. Everyone at your table booked alone and everyone walked in feeling the same way you do.
What does it cost, and what am I paying for?
You pay €5 to book your seat, VAT included. That is for our matching and table booking service. Food and drinks you pay for yourself at the venue, straight to the restaurant, so you order what you feel like and stay in your own budget. We pick venues where you can eat well for a normal amount of money.
Is this a dating thing?
No. We seat tables for good conversation, not for chemistry, and we do not match anyone with anyone. People have met partners at our tables, the same way people meet partners at parties. That is not what we are building.
What if I need to cancel?
Tell us at least three days before and we will move you to another date or refund you. After that we have booked the table and built the group around you, so we cannot. If something happens on the day, call us or message us on WhatsApp at +371 25 741 869. It works from any country. We are people.
